Industrial Property
Law
The Industrial Property Law (Law No. 9279/1996) provides some protection mechanisms for your business. The legislation establishes the procedures for registering trademarks, industrial designs, patents, and computer programs, for example, in order to guarantee the property rights of the owner of these creations. The firm offers specialized assistance in obtaining these registrations, with monitoring at all stages of the process, as well as other measures aimed at protecting rights.
Brand
Your customer buys your brand, not your product. The Industrial Property Law (LPI) covers, among its protection categories, the registration of trademarks, that is, the distinctive signs that identify products and differentiate them from the competition. The registration of trademarks indicates their origin and enhances their position in the market, bringing protection to the companies' greatest asset before the consuming public, since the trademark symbol carries with it all the identification, quality, and trust it represents. Below is an example of the composition of our trademark:

Highly Renowned Brands
The Brazilian Industrial Property Law provides for the possibility of a special registration for trademarks that have a notorious recognition by the consuming public, called by the law as highly renowned trademarks. Unlike regular registrations, which protect trademarks only within their business segments, highly-reputed trademarks guarantee exclusivity in all market segments.
Thus, the exclusive domain of its use is guaranteed, avoiding the dilution of the brand name and its value. For the registration of high renown, it is necessary to demonstrate the brand's recognition before the consumer public, which can be done through market research and/or media plans, as well as any other documentation that demonstrates the brand's outstanding reputation.
With this, it is possible to guarantee that no other company, in any of the market segments, will use the distinctive signs protected by the high renown, consolidating the already outstanding image that the brand has in the market.
The office provides assistance in all stages of Trademark Registration.
Indsutrial Design
The LPI also provides for the protection of industrial design, which consists of a distinctive visual configuration of a product, and may be composed of elements that, together, result in a new look, such as prints or accessories in unusual formats.
Patent
Patent registrations are made when a product has a new function or an original mechanism.
